    Pei Wen's birthday celebration.. (Yippee!)

Yay, so we went to watch one of the latest- and first- 3D horror movie at Suntec yesterday. The effects were fantastic and had me glued to the chair in excitement!
Although majority of the movie were filled with gore, naked (YES, you heard right. NAKED) and bloody scenes, it still left my jaw hanging in amazement.

Being a more "special" movie than any other normal ones, we were given 3D glasses at the entrance before the show started. And having those glasses on simply creates instant magic right before your very eyes!

That's one thing I absolutely L-O-V-E about 3D. It makes one feels involved in it, and everything was so surreal that it looked as though they're right in front of you. The resolution was so crystal clear to the extent that one can even see the veins of the actor's eyes during close-up shots! Sounds exaggerating, but its true!

Alright, but not as exaggerating as this pic though =_=: (The fire doesn't really blow out from the screen like this!)

    Seeing is definitely believing!

This movie was rated M-18, but whether or not its worth the price of $13 depends on how an individual sees it.

If you have a knack or up to some bloody gore "fun", My Bloody Valentine-3D will be a movie you won't want to miss.

(And when I mean bloody, it means you must be readily prepared for scenes of intestines, heart and human organs being dug out in the most cruel way possible.)

However, I would like to apologise to Yun and Ling for their wastage of money. They found the movie so incredibly disgusting that they took off their 3D glasses and refused to watch it. Yun even had her face covered with a piece of tissue paper. (Sorry, I din know this movie will be disturbing for the both of you!)

Personally, I find that the price is considered worth it for a 3-D experience. I mean, how often do you get a chance to watch a horror 3D film on the big screens, especially one containing REAL actors and actresses? I am not a regular or "cinema-goer", but I don't mind paying a higher price for the "excitement". The feeling of knowing something unexpected will happen -but you don't know what- is just so mind-gripping! I love it best when the knife or whatever weapon the character is throwing feels as though its COMING for you. Just when you are trying to "duck" and shield youself from the attacker, you will realise that you are not really hit.

Admittedly, the effects and ambiance yesterday was not as good as the one we had seen at the Singapore Discovery Centre. Well, but it was not bad either! Its more exciting than normal 2D movies, and will have you lusting for more!

And yeah, its not called "My Bloody Valentine" for nothing.

Anyway, I am glad that Wen did enjoy her birthday celebration and presents we had given. We had such a nice time chatting our time away. (We chat more than we shop!) We got so engrossed in "twilight talk" that we couldn't stop speaking the lines from the movie.

And before I end my post for today, (I had to attend Chloe's birthday celebration later on), let me ask Wen one last question:

"How long have you been 17?"
